Chilaquiles? Huge meal that's hard to find in many Mexican restaurants. It's crispy tortilla chips topped with your choice of red or green sauce, then topped with cheese, steak, eggs and served with rice and beans. This is a hearty meal that's hard to eat it all. They also have great rotisserie chicken, tacos and many other great dishes. It's one of the largest menus in the area. There is also a meat counter and small store attached.

OMG, 5 stars for the refried beans and rice!!
I've had the tacos de lengua, tripa (warning: you'll burp it out for hours and then crave it the next day), carne asada. Delicious, affordable and filling. I have y
When I go, the dining room is usually almost full and chaotic. As with all other restaurant/grocery stores, people are waiting on to-go orders are just standing around blocking the way, and no one ever tells you where to pay haha.
I only wish they would label the tacos so I can easily tell which is which without touching them. -

After living here in Winston-Salem for a few months, we finally found a good Mexican food place. Probably as authentic as you can get for this area. The tacos are great...simply dressed and not overdone with cheese and other fillers like the chain restaurants. My husband had the whole tilapia and it was delicious! It's a bit chaotic inside as it is also a meat market, and not much is in English..but that's OK. There are pictures to guide you. Not traditional service...but they do bring you drinks and at least when we were there they brought the food to our table. The people working there are nice. We will be back for sure.

Love the food here. Always so full of flavor and spice. It's a small local shop with options to buy your fajita meat but also order your favorite Mexican tacos, tamales, tortas, etc. the enchiladas verdes were particularly good! I loved the verde sauce. It's not a fancy place but you can expect yummy home style Mexican food.

Great place for some real deal Mexican food. Nothing fancy on the inside, just simple cafeteria type booths and they do have seating outside also. There is also a small section inside that has a butchers counter and a few grocery items.
The tacos are awesome, atleast all the ones I've tried. The pastor and the chivo(roasted goat) being my favorites. The rotisserie chicken I had was pretty outstanding also, 1/2 chicken with rice, beans, salad and a stack of tortillas for $6.99, awesome. I'll definitely stop by more when in the neighborhood.
